Davanagere: In a distressing incident reported from Davangere, Karnataka, a man lost his life after being attacked by a group of monkeys on Monday. The victim, identified as 60-year-old Gutteppa, was a resident of Arakere village in Honnali taluk and served as the vice president of PLD bank.
The fatal monkey attack occurred as Gutteppa stepped out of his house for a morning walk. Subsequently, he sustained severe injuries from the monkey attack and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, Gutteppa succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Former BJP MLA and MP Renukacharya expressed his condolences to the grieving family. During his visit, villagers conveyed their concerns about the menace posed by monkeys, bears, and leopards in the area. Renukacharya assured the villagers that he would take up the matter with the forest department to address the ongoing human-animal conflict in the region.
