Bengaluru/New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) resumed the inquiry of Congress leader D K Shivakumar on Monday, September 2. However, before entering the office, DKShi shed some tears.
The ED has been interrogating DKShi over the past few days in connection with the cash recovered from his New Delhi apartment in an IT raid.
On his way to the ED’s office, the Congress leader was accompanied by his brother, MP D K Suresh. The two were seen shedding tears before entering the office. DKShi broke down while recalling his past and alleged that the BJP-led Central Government is behind his problems.
“Today is my father’s death anniversary but neither my brother nor I, are able to offer Ede (food items on a banana leaf) to him. Every year I would leave the Ganesha idol at the Sankey tank with my son. This year, because of the vindictive policy of the Union Government, I am facing a lot of troubles,” he said.
DKShi then expressed confidence that the ED will complete the inquiry today and he will leave for Bengaluru in the night.
