Bengaluru/Vitla: The teams of Election Commission Flying Squad officials and Vitla Police have started an investigation into the banners posted in Kanyana village of Bantwala Taluk, which stated that entry was denied to Congress into houses of Hindus.

Soon after the information was received, the Congress started counting the houses with such boards and submitted a complaint to the Election Commission and requested it to remove such communally sensitive banners. Now the inquest of such houses is also being made by the officials.

The banners which read “This is a Hindu house…Congressmen who supported to convert Ganyashri through fake love are not allowed…there are girls in our house too”, were found by the officials. Statements are being collected from the households regarding those who pasted the banners and inquest conducted.

In few parts, EC officials removed the banners. Few Hindu leaders are angry about the EC removing the banners as they were pasted to the doors of houses, which are private properties.
