Bengaluru: Congress leader and actor M H Ambareesh bid adieu to electoral politics on April 24, the last date for filing nominations for state polls.
“I cannot do justice to people of the constituency even if i get elected”, said Ambareesh before calling it a day in electoral arena owing to poor health.
“Let the party field anybody of its liking from Mandya”, said the 66-year-old Amabreesh , who cited age as an associated factor driving him to quit electoral politics.
With his decision, curtains have come down over the suspense related to the contest. Ravikumar Ganiga has already submitted the nomination as Congress candidate after Ambareesh announced his retirement.
Ambareesh had remained inaccessible to his supporters and media after the party had issued him ticket. However,he had not collected the B form from the party.
