Bengaluru: An explosion at the popular Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru’s Brookefield area has left at least four people injured, including three staff members and one customer. Fortunately, the injuries were minor, and all individuals are reported to be out of danger, according to officials.
The incident, which occurred around 1 pm, was caused by an object placed in a bag, leading to the eruption of black smoke in and around the cafe. Forensic teams are currently collecting material from the blast site to determine the exact cause of the explosion.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara stated that initial assessments indicate the explosion did not involve a cylinder, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the blast. The injured individuals have been promptly taken to a nearby hospital and are not in critical condition, as confirmed by the Home Minister.
The scene at Rameshwaram Cafe was attended by police officials, fire authorities, and forensic teams. A bomb disposal squad has also been deployed to ensure safety at the site. CCTV footage from the vicinity is under scrutiny by the police to trace events leading up to the blast.
As investigations continue into the incident, the area has been cordoned off to facilitate a thorough examination by the authorities. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation, and the police are working diligently to gather all necessary information.

Regarding the ownership of Rameshwaram Café, it was established in 2021 by CA Divya Raghavendra Rao and Raghavendra Rao, with the name chosen as a tribute to the birthplace of the late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
