Ramanagara:   Police arrested fake IAS officer on Wednesday September 8. It is said that accused Shishir Balasaheb (24) a native of Jalagauv in Maharashtra staying in Bengaluru.

The accused cheated many by promising them of government jobs by claiming he is an IAS officer in Union Home Secretariat and posted in Bengaluru as officer on special duty for south range. The accused even had fake ID and visiting cards.

The accused visited Art of living spiritual leader Ravi Shankar Gurujis Ashram at Kanakapura road, promised to solve the land disputes. He also took money from builders and people by solving their cases in court.

However, Ashram officials grew suspicious and gave information to Police. During interrogation by Kaggalipura Police, he confessed that he is unemployed. Police recovered an Innova crista car, fake ID, mobiles from the accused. He was booked under   170, 171, 182, 186, 419, 420 of IPC.

The police investigation is on whether the accused is involved in more such cases.
