Govt to buy 50 acres of land ahead of GIM in Nov

Bengaluru: Large and Medium Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani announced that the government will buy 50,000 acres of land in ahead of the Global Investors Meet (GIM) in November 2022 and allot land to industrialists, and give world-class facilities.

“By establishing more industries, we will be able to provide more jobs for locals and reduce unemployment,” Nirani said. He noted the importance of expanding industries beyond Bengaluru into Tier II and III cities under Aatmanirbhar Bharat during the inauguration of India Manufacturing Show 2022 in Bengaluru on Saturday May 7.

Nirani also mentioned that the government will soon implement the ‘One District One Product policy.’

He said that cluster-based industrial parks will receive particular incentives.
