Bengaluru: As a solution to the shortage of specialist surgeons across the state, the state health department has launched DNB courses in 9 hospitals in Karnataka. This project has been launched under the National Health Mission (NHM).
Speaking to NewsKarnataka, an officer from the health department said that DNB courses have been launched at KR hospital in Malleshwaram, the government hospital in Jayanagar and in district hospitals of Bagalkot, Chithradurga, Dharawad, Kolar, Tumakuru, Vijayapura and Ballari.
“The faculty and other facilities will be provided on a contract basis. Karnataka’s state government is the first to introduce DNB courses,” he said.
