Bengaluru: The Hijab row is present only in eight high schools and pre-university colleges in the State. We have a total of 75,000 institutions in the State, said Primary and Secondary Education Minister B. C. Nagesh on Thursday February 17.
Speaking to mediapersons, Minister B. C. Nagesh said that the problem has been persistent only in a handful of high schools and pre-university colleges. He expressed confidence that the issue will be resolved soon.
So far, the controversy refuses to die down as few girl students are still adamant on letting them wear Hijab or Burqa while attending classes.
