Bengaluru: Believe it or not, the BBMP has registered a record number of 758 FIRs against all those who have failed to remove hoardings voluntarily in all the 8 zones of the corporation limits.

According to the BBMP sources, following the High Court order, the BBMP issued a notice to all those who have installed hoardings asking them to pull down the advertisements voluntarily. However, with many not responding to the same, the BBMP registered FIRs against violators.

“BBMP zonal officers have registered FIRs in the nearest police stations against all those who didn’t remove the hoardings. Action will continue against them,” said BBMP authorities.
