Bengaluru: After consistently reporting over 100 daily COVID cases for a continuous period of three weeks, Karnataka has observed a significant decline with only 61 new cases recorded, signaling a positive trend.
The Health Department conducted 3,208 tests during this period, revealing a positivity rate of 3.52%. Remarkably, there were no reported deaths in the state, and the count of active cases is currently at 958. Among these active cases, 909 individuals are undergoing home isolation, 29 have been admitted to government hospitals, and 20 are receiving treatment in private hospitals. Out of those hospitalized, 34 are in general beds, two are under oxygen support, and 13 are in ICUs.
This encouraging update suggests a potential shift in the Covid situation in Karnataka, with the declining number of cases and no reported fatalities, offering a glimmer of hope in the ongoing battle against the pandemic.
