Bengaluru: In the background of likely rise in Covid pandemic, the State Government has issued guidelines to celebrate simple and respectful Rajyotsava on Monday November 1.
The guidelines issued on Saturday October 30 states that not more than 500 people should gather on the occasion. It has been made compulsory to wear masks, sanitise and maintain social distancing during such gatherings. The celebration should be simple, organised and respectful, the release adds.
The organisations planning to hold Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations are also mandated to take prior permission compulsorily from their respective departments. Release further states that the culture and entertainment programmes should be conducted only for a limited period of time. Elderly people, unwell persons and children are asked to stay away from such programmes. The people who vailate guidelines will be booked under Sec 188 of Disaster Management Act.
