Bengaluru: Mortal remains of late Madhukar Shetty, IPS, who passed away on Friday night will be kept for paying last respects by officers of Karnataka police at Yalahanka armed police training school from 11 am to 2 PM on Saturday.
“Then the mortal remains will be taken to his hometown Yedadi in Udupi. The last rites would be performed at 10 am on Sunday,” informed police sources.
Madhukar Shetty, who was suffering from H1N1 was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad. He died on Friday night. He is survived by a wife and a daughter.
“He was admitted to the hospital on Sunday morning following the complaints of uneasiness. He suffered multi-organ failure,” added sources.
Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy is likely to attend the final rites on Sunday. He is expected to cancel his Singapore visit.
