Fire Erupts in Bengaluru’s Kadugodi, Prompting Firefighting Response

Three children were burnt alive and their parents have been critically injured in a fire that broke out in their hut in Uttar Pradesh's Firozabad.

A massive fire broke out in Bengaluru’s Kadugodi area on Sunday afternoon, prompting firefighting teams to rush to the spot to control the flames. The incident occurred at around 2 pm, with the fire department confirming that it did not happen in the reserve forest area but at a private property close to the forest in Kadugodi.

Fire Incident Details

The property where the fire broke out was reportedly covered with dry grass and bushes, facilitating the rapid spread of the fire. However, firefighters managed to control the blaze before it reached the forest area. Officials confirmed that the reserve forest was not affected, and by evening, the flames were brought under control. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

Community Reaction and Concern

Residents of Kadugodi expressed panic and concern upon witnessing thick smoke and massive flames in their surroundings.

  • Ashish Pathak, a user on X, commented, “Already there’s water shortage in Bengaluru and now wonder how much water will be required to douse this massive fire? The message is loud n clear – Respect the Nature.”
  • Another user named Vikas remarked, “Great.. as if heat from the sun was not enough.. let’s create more heat from the earth also.”

The incident highlights the importance of maintaining caution and respecting nature to prevent such occurrences.
