Bengaluru: A female cow and a calf of the gir breed were brought to Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa’s official residence, “Cauvery” in the city. These cows were brought on Friday evening and were a gift from Yelahanka MLA S R Vishwanath.
According to sources, the female cow is seven months pregnant.
Authorities added that originally, these cows were brought by MTB Ramakrishnappa, a BJP leader from Yalachanagere, from Gujarat. Now, these cows have been gifted to the CM.
A cowshed has been built at the CM’s residence where these cows will be kept, they added.
