Bengaluru: According to the Ministry of Education’s NIRF ranking released on Thursday September 9, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras retained the top spot among institutes in the country, while the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru ranked best among research institutions.
As per the sixth edition of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) released by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, eight IITs and two National Institutes of Technology (NITs) were among the top 10 engineering institutes in the country.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad was named the best B-School and Jamia Hamdard was declared the top institution for pharmacy studies. Miranda House in Delhi took first place in the colleges category, followed by Lady Sri Ram College for Women in Delhi and Loyola College in Chennai.
According to the NIRF rankings, AIIMS Delhi is the top spot among medical college in the country, followed by PGIMER Chandigarh and Christian Medical College, Vellore.
St. Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru has been ranked 95th in NIRF Rankings. The college is one among top 3 Colleges in Karnataka within 100 Ranks.
