Ramnagar: Former Minister H. M. Revanna said that lorry drivers and labourers are the true strength behind the development of the State.
He was speaking after receiving the felicitation at the Kannada Rajyotsava function organised by Jaimaruti Kannada Lorry Drivers’ Association near BPCL Gas Plant in Soluru in the Taluk. “Achievement can be made through organisation. Organised Rajyotsava celebrations are meaningful. Labourers should shape the future of their children with sweat and hard earned money. Let there be self-respecting work. Don’t be inferior when it comes to work. Education has to be valued. The labourers should educate their children,” he said.
“I am also the son of a jeep driver. With the blessings of the people of Magadi and Sriranganatha Swamy, I became the Mayor because my father educated me. I am grateful to the people of for giving me the opportunity to become an MLA, three-time minister, KPCC Member of the National Congress Party and a National level Leader, he added.
