Ramanagara: Four to five wild elephants attacked and destroyed the ragi crop in nearby villages under Kabtalu limits of Sathanur Hobli in the Taluk.

The ragi crop belonging to Ningegowda Rajanna and Chikkamarigowda farmers of Hosa Kabtalu Village has been destroyed. This year, the farmers in the Taluk were worried that their crops would not be able to reach them this time due to the fury of the rain. However, the ragi sown by some farmers had grown into fennel and yielded a good harvest. The menace of wild animals has become a problem for the farmers who were hoping to get the capital invested by the farmers.

This time, most of the farmers have harvested the remaining ragi crop which has been washed away by the rains. However, the farmers are worried that the remaining ragi crop has now been attacked and destroyed by wild elephants.
