Bengaluru: Congress strongman from Kanakapura, former minister DK Shivakumar who is nurturing a grudge against Congress high command for delaying his appointment as the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president made it clear that he wants to be away from national politics.

“I would rather break stones in Kanakapura than going to New Delhi,” he stated expressing his desire to be away from national-level politics.

“If they give me KPCC president post, I will serve. There is no question of going to national politics,” he said adding that KPCC Chief’s post is not a product in the market that could be bought.

“I will wait for the decision of the AICC in this regard,” he said.

He also stated that the ED has not issued any new summons in connection to the money laundering case. He also urged the media to not publish news without verifying the same.
