Bengaluru: Even though the Tipu Jayanti celebrations were peaceful across the state, in Kushalnagar of the Kodagu district, a youth was stabbed on Saturday morning at 8 AM. “However, the police didn’t disclose the incident to make sure that the episode does not spark rumours and further violence in the region,” said police sources.
According to the police, Kiran (35) a manager working with a homestay was the victim. There is no clarity on the motive of this stabbing.
“Around 8 AM, Kiran was on his way to the homestay. While he got down from the car to answer nature’s call, two bike bone miscreants attacked him with a knife. They stabbed Kiran on his stomach and legs,” said police.
“Kiran is being treated in a Mysuru hospital. Kushalnagar rural police are investigating the incident,” said police.
