Karwar: Police have arrested the accused in a house burglary case.
The accused have been identified as Mohammed Kaif Mohammad Ghouse Shiragodu (19) of Banavasi Janata Colony, Vishwa Mahesh Pawaskar (21), Yasin Bashasaab (18) of Kadagoda and Riyaz Iqbal Chowdhary (19), a resident of Hospete Road. A robbery was held at Khaleel Abdul Azeem Sheikh of Banavasi September 7 and a sum of Rs. 2,55,000 in cash and gold rings weighing around 4 grams were stolen.
The police investigating the case have succeeded in nabbing the accused who committed the theft. During interrogation, Mohammad Kaif Mohammad Ghouse Shirgoda confessed that he had burgled at the house of Suvarna Malatesh in Banavasi on September 16. A total of Rs 2,75,000 in cash and 10 grams of gold jewellery have been seized in both the cases.
