Karwar: Three inter-state thieves have been arrested for allegedly robbing a car on National Highway 63 at Arabail Ghat in Yallapur Taluk in the District.
The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Kabir Mainuddin of Siriya in Kasaragod, Subhas Radhakrishnan of Kozhikode and Nivesh Appu Vijayakrishnan of Palakkad.
On October 2, 2021 they intercepted a car belonging to Nilesh Panduranga Naik of Kolhapur on National Highway 63 and assaulted him and robbed him of Rs. 2.11 Crore, car and two mobiles in a cinematic manner.
The police has arrested three persons and seized three cars and Rs. 98,000 in cash from them.
