Yellapura: Minister of Religious Endowment, Fisheries, Ports, and Inland Waterways Kota Srinivasa Poojary paid a courtesy visit to the residence of tribal leader and newly nominated Member of Legislative Council Shantaram Siddhi at the Hitanalli village on July 25 and congratulated him.
The Minister met the residents of the village who live in the hilly region and are forest-dwellers. They expressed their gratitude to the government for nominating someone like Shantaram Siddhi, a member of a tribal community who are considered to be children of the forest, thereby making him a unity bridge between society and the people of this region.
Shantaram Siddhi, a lawmaker who lives in extreme poverty has been nominated to a prestigious position in the state thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president JP Nadda, General Secretary BL Santosh, BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel, Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and others, an emotional Kota said.
