Kasaragod: Murder in Mangaluru jewellery shop, accused held

Mangaluru: Jewellery shop murder, accused planned another robbery

Kasaragod: The Police has succeeded in nabbing the absconding accused in connection with the murder case that took place at Hampanakatte Jewellery shop. The accused has been identified as Shifaz (33), a native of Kozhikode.

He was arrested from Kasaragod, Police said.

Kasargod Police has taken the accused into custody from Mallikarjuna Temple premises in the City. In a shocking incident, a staff of a jewellery shop near Milagres in Hampanakatte was stabbed to death on February 3.

The deceased has been identified as Raghava (50), a resident of Attavar. The CCTV camera had captured a masked man coming out of the jewellery shop.

The incident took place when he was alone in the shop. The incident came to light when the shop owner came to know about it after having lunch and that is when the injured was admitted to a hospital. However, the treatment did not work and he died.
