Mangaluru: Children are the gifts of God. Whatever the they do, its a treat to watch. If the children themselves get dressed as God’s then you truly have “the heaven on Earth”.
Same was the situation in the Kadri temple when tiny tots of Mangaluru got dressed themselves as Lord Krishna. It was the innocence of these young ones which made the spectators go speechless. Have a look…

Shri Krishna Vesha competition was organized at Kardri temple on Saturday in various categories by the Kalkura Prathishtana. The purpose of the competition was to enhance cultural and religious awareness among the public and to showcase the natural beauty of small children.

The competition was held in several categories namely,  ‘Kanda Krishna’ (for tiny tots below one year and mother can lead the child to the stage);  ‘Muddukrishna’ (for toddlers under two years and mothers are allowed to come on the stage along with the participants); Thuntakrishna (for the toddlers of two years to three years); ‘Balakrishna’ (for kids from Anganwadi and LKG), ‘Kishor Krishna ‘ (for children from UKG and I std); ‘Sri Krishna’ (for II, III and IV standard children); Geetha Krishna (for students upto VII std)
