COVID-19: Man from from Kalladka, Bantwal succumbs

Mangaluru: A 45-year-old man from Kalladka, in Bantwal died due to COVID1-19, on Wednesday evening. It is said that he had been to a private hospital in Mangaluru for kidney-related issue on Saturday.

He was tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday. However, there is no clarity on how he contracted the infection. He was suffering from ill-health over the last 20 days. When his situation worsened on Saturday he was taken to a local hospital first and then to Mangaluru.

Hailing from an economically weaker family, his son is appearing for SSLC exams.

The Kalladka hospital where he was given treatment has been sealed down. He is survived by two daughters, one son and his wife, who is a Akshara Dasoha cook.
