Mangaluru: Five new Covid – 19 clusters have been declared in Dakshina Kannada. Among the five, one is an old age home, two schools, and two hostels.
Eight students from a private school in Bajpe and seven students from a government school in Bengre tested positive, informed Health Department authorities. They are all between the ages of 12 and 18.
After 13 people tested positive, an old age home in Bondel has been declared a cluster. A total of 52 inmates have been tested by officials.
In Mangaluru Taluk, twenty cases were found in a hotel of a private Ayurvedic college. After eight women tested positive, a ladies hostel in Bantwal Taluk was also declared a cluster.
