Mangaluru: Events have taken a tragic turn as the four class 10 students, initially reported missing, have now been found dead. They disappeared around 1:30 in the afternoon after their English preparatory exams, prompting concerned families to file a case at the Surathkal police station.
The police recently discovered the four bodies at the Haleangadi Koppala dam railway bridge, along with their bags, footwear, and uniforms placed by the river. It was evident that the students had gone for a swim. CCTV footage revealed the children boarding a bus and finding their way to the location using a phone.
Exhausted from exam preparations, the four boys likely sought a break and decided on a short picnic, tragically resulting in this incident. The police suspected that the mishap occurred with one boy, while the other three lost their lives attempting to rescue him.
