Bantwal: A youth involved in a group clash around eight years ago was arrested by the Vittal police near Budoli in Mani on Wednesday. Ansar(22) a resident of Madala in Budoli is the arrested.
He did not appear before court even though he was a accused in group clash that erupted in Peraje and was absconding.
A complaint was registered against 15 persons at Vittal police station regarding a group clash took place in 2007 on August 28 near Peraje in Budoli. Two accused in this case were absconding and warrant was issued against them.
On reliable information that Ansar has arrived to his native from Bengaluru, Police carried the operation. On seeing the police, the accused tried to escape but he was chased and successfully arrested. He has been produced before court.
Bantwal circle inspector Belliyappa, Vittal police sub-inspector Prakash Devadiga. Staff Praveen Rai, Janardhan, Rakshith Rai and driver Narayana carried the operation.
