Bantwal: The death of a loved one is indeed sad, but the Lady Goschen hospital in Bantwal recently saw another one of those saddest cases where a mother had to see the death of a loved one, without so much as a welcome. The fetus she had bonded with for only six months finally said goodbye to its mother this Valentine’s day.

The wife of Vasantha from Tenja Kajekaru, 40 year old Sujatha, married for only ten years was excited to have her first baby, an excitement that surely went short-lived, as doctors later diagnosed the fetus’s irregular heartbeat.

Friends and relatives now stand by the grieving mother, who, having worked as an assistant at the village accountant’s office, was well known for her sincere contribution to society.
