Karkala : A truck laden with interlocks overturned at Kodimar-Indar in Karkala on April 8, Monday evening, killing one person and injuring three more. The condition of one of them is said to be critical.
The mishap took place at around 5 pm when the truck which was on way to Mundkur from Karkala suffered a brake failure. The vehicle then skid and overturned. One Devaraj from Yadagiri, a labourer who was in the truck, lost his life. Three others, all labourers sustained injuries. Of them, the condition of Esha is critical.
The driver of the truck however had a miraculous escape and was unhurt.
Karkala police are conducting the investigations.
