Kundapur : A reckless driving by the driver of a private bus claimed the life of a passenger and left 12 injured two of them critically on the Koteshwar-Halady Road on May 6, Monday.It is learnt, the mishap
occurred when the Manjunath Motors Bus on way to Jaddinagudde from Kundapur hit another bus belonging to Hanuman Motors. It even rammed against a roadside tree before falling.The passenger who lost his life has been identified as Girish (30). The injured included a pregnant woman and a student who was returning after appearing for exams.The Hanuman Motors bus was on way to Kundapur from Shimoga when the mishap took place. The presence of mind of the driver of the Hanuman Motors bus was much appreciated by locals. But for his presence of mind in taking the bus to the roadside and lowering it to a gutter, the accident would have resulted in many casualties.
