Mangaluru: Advocate K. S. N. Rajesh, who was in judicial detention on allegations of sexually harassing law interns, was granted interim bail by the high court.

Two law student interns have filed sexual harassment and threat allegations against special public prosecutor K. S. N. Rajesh of the Lokayukta division here at the women’s police station. Rajesh then disappeared without a trace.
Meanwhile, two police officers were suspended, including the Urwa police Sub-Inspector, for threatening the lady against filing the complaint. Two more people were arrested on allegations of helping Rajesh’s escape. His membership in the bar had been suspended by the bar council.

Rajesh remained underground for almost two months before being issued with a lookout notice. Rajesh’s anticipatory bail applications in Mangaluru and the State High Court were both denied.
On December 20, he surrendered at a court here.
