Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan MP and his wife exercised their voting rights at polling booth number 131, established at Government Girls PU College in Balmath in the city.

Polling in the Dakshina Kannada district is progressing at a brisk pace, with voters braving the scorching heat and humid conditions to reach the polling stations. Many voters have requested authorities for transportation facilities to reach the voting locations, as the region is experiencing a heatwave, and many women have voiced concerns that the heatwave conditions are dissuading people from visiting the polling booths to cast their votes.

Meanwhile, Puttur MLA Ashok Kumar Rai exercised his franchise at a polling station in Kodimbadi. BBMP Commissioner Tushar Girinath and his wife cast their votes at a polling station established at a primary school in Jakkur, in the Bengaluru North Lok Sabha constituency.

Kodagu Deputy Commissioner Venkata Raja exercised his right to vote at the polling station established at the Taluk Panchayat office in the Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha constituency.
