Mangaluru: Allegedly serving of unhygienic food, restaurant shutdown

Mangaluru: Puttur Tahasildar conducted a raid on a restaurant at Uppinnangady in the District for allegedly serving unhygienic food after the video of the same went viral on the night of Thursday January 12.

The viral images being shared shows worm-infested chicken being served to customers at the restaurant.

A team of Puttur Tahasildar Nisarga Priya and Uppinangady Sub-Tahasildar Chennappa Gowda conducted a surprise raid at the restaurant in question on Thursday. During the raid food items being served were inspected for hygiene standards. Samples of some dishes were also collected and sent for testing.

Now the officials have shutdown the restaurant.
