Mangaluru: People’s representatives who have not responded to the construction of a bridge for 35 years, have faced boycott by the people.

The Villagers of Ivarnadu in Sullia Taluk, who had been demanding for the construction of a bridge for the past 35 years, have decided to boycott the polls after the people’s representatives did not respond.

For the past 35 years, they have been pleading for the construction of a bridge at Birmukaje, and Challathadi in Ivarnadu Village on the road leading to Sarakere.

However, we have vowed to boycott voting in the upcoming elections in protest against the indifferent attitude of the political leaders and the Government, who have not responded and are acting as if we have nothing to do with the sufferings of the people of the Village, said Villagers.
