Mangaluru: Seven years after the Court pronounced a man guilty in a case trial, the Hebri Police have succeeded in nabbing a criminal who was absconding without appearing before the Court.

Prakash alias Pakeerappa was an accused in one of the cases against him.

The charge sheet was filed in 2010 in Karkala second Accidents Claims Journal (ACJ) and Judicial Magistrate of the first class(JMFC) Court. In the case, the Court sentenced the accused to one-year imprisonment after his conviction.

Prakash Alias Pakeerappa, who has been absconding for the past seven years, was traced and produced before the Court under the guidance of Hebri Police Station Sub-Inspectors Nandakumar M.M. and Niranjan Hegde by Police Crime Officers Rajkumar and Warrant Staff Suresh Kumar and Bharath at Madanur in Koppal District.

The court remanded the accused to judicial custody.
