Mangaluru: In a shocking incident, a minor boy was asked not to get married at Tenkakajekar Village under Punjalakatte Police Station limits when the officials raided him while he was getting ready for the wedding.

All preparations for the marriage of a minor boy at Mittalike, a house in Tenkakajekar Village, took place on Sunday March 5, following which the Authorities rushed to the house and got an undertaking from the family not to conduct the marriage. This is the second time that a marriage has been arranged for this minor boy. Last year, all arrangements were made for his wedding in a similar manner and when the officials came to know about it, they went to his house and informed him about it and stopped the marriage.

Bantwal CDPO Gayathri Kambali, who came to know about the incident, visited Punjalakatte SI Anjaneya Reddy and CDPO. They went home along with other officials of the Department and stopped the marriage.
