Speaking to mediapersons on Sunday July 3, Kamath said though there is a law banning cow slaughter in the State, strict action should be taken against those indulging in cattle trafficking. Kamath has instructed the Department to take immediate action on illegally operating slaughter houses in Kerala and Karnataka indulging in cow slaughter as such complaints are being heard.

Kamath maintained that the Police Department should work towards maintaining peace in the District by taking strict legal action against those indulging in cattle trafficking.
