Mangaluru: A man was beaten up by public for allegedly molesting a minor girl at Kankanady in the City. He was later handed over to the police on Saturday January 21.
The accused has been identified as a 35-year-old man from Ullal, police said. It is learnt that the eight-year-old girl was plucking fruits when she was allegedly sexually harassed by the accused. He was engaged in masonry work.
The public gathered at the spot after the girl raised alarm. Kankanady police arrested the accused, and is investigating.
