Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, a biker was killed on the spot after an Eicher lorry collided with his two-wheeler in front of Pilya Masjid near Aladangady here.
The deceased has been identified as Praveen Acharya, a resident of Kudyadi village.
The incident happened late on Thursday September 15. The driver of the Eicher vehicle fled the scene after the accident. According to sources, it is understood that his car was later stopped at the junction.
Praveen’s mortal remains were sent to the Belthangady hospital mortuary.
Venur police arrived at the spot and launched an investigation.
