News Karnataka & Fiza by Nexus unite for children’s drawing contest

Mangaluru:  In collaboration with Fiza by Nexus, News Karnataka is delighted to announce a drawing competition in celebration of Children’s Day. The event is scheduled to take place on November 19th on the third floor of Fiza by Nexus Mall.

How to Participate: Participants can submit their entries via WhatsApp to +91 76762 18092. An entry fee of Rs 100 is applicable, which should be paid using the QR code provided in the official poster. After making the payment, participants are required to send a screenshot of the transaction to the designated WhatsApp number. To complete the registration process, participants must arrive at the venue one hour prior to the competition’s commencement and register their names at the designated registration desk. Please note that the registration desk will close 15 minutes after the competition begins, with registration opening promptly at 2:00 pm. The drawing competition is set to commence at 3:00 pm.

Rules and Regulations: Participants are mandated to bring their institution’s ID cards; failure to do so will result in denied registration. Additionally, participants must bring their own drawing, painting, or sketching materials. However, drawing sheets will be provided by the organizers. The allotted topics for the competition are “My Favorite Cartoon Character” for Category A (1st to 3rd standard) and “My Dream Kudla” for Category B (4th to 7th standard). The drawing session will last for 1 hour 30 minutes.

Artwork Specifications: Artwork can include drawings, paintings, or sketches and must be created using dry color mediums such as crayons, pencils, Staedtler, or dry pastels, watercolors (cake, water, poster, and acrylic colors), or oil-based colors (oil color/canvas). All artworks will be considered the property of the organizers, who reserve the right to use them, along with the participant’s name and address, for exhibitions and various media platforms.

Prizes and Certificates: A jury nominated by the organizers will select the competition winners. Participants are required to accept the jury’s decisions. The results and prize distribution ceremony will be held at the venue shortly after the competition concludes. Certificates will be issued to all participants, and snacks will be provided.

News Karnataka, known for its commitment to organizing various social programs, has initiated this competition to nurture and showcase talent among children from different parts of the district. The event promises to be a platform where young artists can express their creativity and celebrate the spirit of Children’s Day.
