Mangaluru: A recreation club in B Mooda village on B C Road was raided, and over 28 people have been arrested on gambling allegations on Thursday June 2.
The raid was conducted under the guidance of inspector Vivekananda. A table, six chairs, 52 playing cards used for gambling, and Rs. 26,900 in cash have been seized by police.
According to source, those inside the building threw the money out of the window and tried to flee the scene during the raid. As a result, hundreds of people gathered on the service road to collect the money that had fallen on the road, resulting in a traffic jam.
A case has been registered under the Karnataka Police Act.
