Mangaluru: In preparation for the SSLC examinations scheduled from March 25 to April 6 within the Mangaluru Commissionerate limits, Siddarth Goel, Assistant Police Commissioner and Special Executive Magistrate, has announced the establishment of a prohibition zone extending 200 meters around each of the 39 examination centers in Mangaluru.

Measures for Examination Integrity

The declaration of the prohibition zone is aimed at ensuring the smooth and transparent conduct of the examinations while preventing any potential for illegal or untoward activities. To maintain examination integrity, certain actions are strictly prohibited within the designated areas in Mangaluru:

  • Aiding examination malpractices or distributing answers through chits or other means.
  • Possession of acids, explosives, weapons, or any materials indicating engagement in examination-related misconduct.
  • Gatherings of more than five individuals, excluding examination candidates.
  • Operation of Xerox shops within a 200-meter radius of examination centers one hour before the examination until its conclusion.

Strict Regulations on Electronic Devices

Additionally, the use of mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, pagers, and other electronic communication equipment is strictly forbidden within the examination center premises.

Siddarth Goel emphasized in a press release the importance of adhering to these regulations to uphold the integrity of the examination process and ensure a fair and conducive environment for all candidates.
