Mangaluru: “Change in Lifestyle is the root cause for ill health and there is a need to create awareness among the people”. Opined D.K. District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr Kishore Kumar. Inaugurating the World Health Day Celebrations Organised by Rotaract Club of Mangalore City on Apr 9, 23 at Mini Town Hall Mangalore. He further dwelt at length about various Govt. Health Schemes and facilities freely available to the public provided by the govt.  Rotaract Club is rendering a noble service to Pourakarmika by conducting a Health Checkup camp and distributing Health Kits which is commendable he added.

Prof. and Head of the Dept. of General Medicine of Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences.  Dr. Devdas Rai graced the occasion as chief guest in his address he lauded the invaluable community service rendered by the Rotaract Club Members and celebrating World Health Day in a fitting manner.  The World Health Organization delivered a theme “Health for all” which is very important as it is about Global Health Issues and Highlights the importance of Health and Well Being.

President of D.K. District Pourakarmika and Group D Workers Organization Anil Kumar thanked the Rotaract Club members and the Health Department Staff for rendering help to the Pourakarmikas.

Manager (CSR) of Muthoot Finance Ltd., Prasad Kumar welcomed, Branch Manager Gayathri Nayak and Chandra Shekar U were present on this occasion. President of Rotaract Club Rtr. Arjun Prakash proposed a vote of thanks, Secretary Rtr. Avinash compered the programme and about 250 Pourakarmika’s attended this health camp.
