In a major theft incident, approximately 12,000 litres of diesel, with an estimated value of Rs 9.6 lakh, was stolen from the Petronet MHB pipeline near Aladka, in Belthangady taluk. The complaint was lodged by Rajan G, the station in-charge of Petronet MHB Limited, Neriya, who informed the police that the pipeline, connecting Mangaluru to Hassan and Bengaluru, had been tampered with, resulting in the theft of diesel.
