Mangaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s three-day Parivarthan rally will begin on November 8 and the party aims to regain the lost ground in all the eight assembly constituencies.

Parivarthan rally will enter the district on November 8 at Gundya and will cover Sullia, Puttur, Bantwal , Belthangadi , Moodibidri and other prime areas before culminating in Mangaluru, said Sanjeev Matandur, District BJP President, briefing media at the party office. “A massive public meeting will be held at Nehru Maidan.

State President B S Yeddyurappa will galvanise the party workers during the rally and strengthen the party organisation through the rally, Matandur said.

BJP will expose state government failures in controlling the murders of BJP activists, sand mafia, land mafia and drug trade during the rally. The rally will highlight the programmes of the Modi-led NDA government at the Centre and reflect upon the good deeds of BSY-led BJP government in the state, Matandur said.

Meanwhile, BJP National President Amit Shah has directed Union Minister Prakash Javadekar to seek an explanation from state BJP leaders for the poor turnout at last week’s Nava Karnataka Parivartana Yatra. Minister Prakash Javadekar is the election in-charge of Karnataka.

According to reliable sources, Javadekar has convened a meeting of party leaders in Bengaluru on November 8 to ensure the Yatra gains momentum when it reaches Dakshina Kannada. After receiving positive response in Hassan, the Yatra will head towards DK. Prohibitory orders have been clamped in Kodagu on account of Tipu Jayanthi and hence the rally will touch DK directly.
