Karnataka is proud to send two of its candidates to the Pariksha Pe Charcha program on the 29th of January in New Delhi this year.
The students are Garga Devi from Kundapur and Achal Billnele from Sullia. Gargi Devi is a ninth grader at the HMM English medium primary school. Achal Billnele is currently pursuing his first year at the Jawahara Navoda Vidyalaya at Mudipu.
Achal Billnele will represent the Hyderabad zone out of the 600 Navodaya Vidyalaya institutes across the country. The first PUC student will demonstrate the functioning of the Chandralaya simply for the audience to gather together on that day. This is indeed going to be a remarkable day for Achal, as his mother Dr. Anuradha Karunuji seems to also have met the PM, 25 years back in 1999 on the very same day. Achal’s father Chandrashekara is a lecturer by profession.
Gargi Devi is the daughter of Ashok Suvarna and Natya Vidhushi Pravitha Ashok, a couple from Devalkunda. Her selection is a proud moment for her hometown. This is the second time Kundapur has sent a student to the Pariksha Pe Charcha program. Both students were winners of a National level art festival. Gargi Devi, the winner of a state-level art festival this year, later bagged a bronze for her classical dance performance at the national level.
This is indeed going to be an opportunity for further growth as the two youngsters sit with the PM among the 2.05 crore students, 5.69 lakh parents, and 14.93 lakh teachers from various places across the country this year. Besides this, the students also received the privilege to be a part of the Republic Day parade this year.
