Manipal: In a tragic incident in Manipal, a fatal accident involving a biker hitting road divider occurred at the Parkala National Highway 169(A) this morning.
The deceased rider is identified as Akshay Bhat (26), a resident of Hiriyadka. He was unmarried and employed as a cook. This unfortunate incident happened as he was returning home from working on the preparations for a public food offering at the Indrali Temple for Navarathri Festivities.
The Manipal Police reached the accident site to conduct an investigation. The body was later transferred to the KMC Hospital for a post-mortem examination by social worker Nithyananda Olekadu, who assisted in the process.
