Udupi: Two persons were killed on the spot in a road accident between a lorry and a bike at Puttige, Hiriyadka near here on March 16.
The deceased have been identified as Varun Rao (22) from Gundibail of Udupi and Vishwas Ballal (21) from Kinnimulki of Udupi.
A lorry hit the bike killing the two on the spot. The duo was on its way back to Udupi from Perdoor. Meanwhile, a bus which was on its way towards Hebri toppled in a bid to avoid hitting the same lorry. The occupants in the bus suffered minor injuries.
The lorry driver fled the spot.
Police have registered the case.
